Artist Statement
I am a multimedia artist working with painting, sculpture, and beaded embroidery to transform emotion into form. I take my melancholy, anger, and longing, expelling them from my body through the process of making. Every piece is a mirror of my personal experiences, acting as a release of complex emotions. By converting raw materials into something palpable and meaningful with my own hands I make my grief visible, tangible and more manageable.
My work is deeply personal, created not in pursuit of reaching others, but as a way of reaching my inner self. I want to lay my experiences bare, allowing those who resonate to find their own meaning. As I continue to create, my work becomes a tool for understanding myself and my past, each piece guiding me toward deeper self-awareness.
